On 18 May 2018 (14 calendar days late), the Applicant’s attorneys received a letter from Cheadle Thompson & Haysom Inc. Attorneys, acting on behalf of the Third Respondent (Road Traffic Infringement Agency) and the Fourth Respondent (Registrar of the Road Traffic Infringement Agency). Amongst other things, that letter stated that the RTIA “is required to follow procurement processes prior to appointing service providers in matters of this nature”, that notice of intention to oppose would be served on the Applicant’s correspondent attorneys on the same day, and requesting an extension to 18 July 2018 for the delivery of their clients’ answering affidavit.
